When the picture below (by Tugi) came to me, it was the beginning of general nostalgia for my eighteen years at CESL of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
I put much of the work from those years on this blog - various TESOL presentations, things I wrote, etc. I get lots of visitors here and am glad to see people still value, or perhaps seek, what I wrote. It is slowly, one day at a time, getting outdated, and that's ok. At least it has a home here.
I went to Texas and then New Mexico before returning here to Illinois to live out my retirement. As an Illinois retiree, it's much easier to get medical care here but I also just feel more at home. I don't visit southern Illinois much because of time constraints, but still miss it.
On the organizational front, for many years, possibly all thirteen, I was too busy to collect everything in one place. SIUC was as usual oblivious to anything I'd put on their web I could see the writing on the wall; they'd eliminate it and not think twice.
Finally I can think about it without feeling burnt out. I will announce it link it here as it comes to me. Same picture!
